This tattoo came from an idea to create an image to bring together science and nature. The outline is the Mandelbrot Set, discovered by Benoit Mandelbrot in the late 70s, and often considered to be one of the first fractal images ever produced. Inside the Set is the Tree of Life as interpreted by the tattoo artist, David Hale of LoveHawk Studios in Athens, Ga. David really brought this idea to life and created an amazing image that captures what I envisioned more clearly than I thought possible. Hope you all enjoy it too!
This is pretty rad.
Custom mandala 1/2 sleeve by Rick Levenchuck of Born This Way Body Arts in Knoxville, TN.
That is really beautiful.
This just may be one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Awesome.
And Foo Fighters. These two bands are my soul bands.
This is my Super Mario Bros. tattoo! i already had a little one on my wrist but always wanted something bigger…so when i had the money i decided for a full sleeve. As you can see there’s still a lot to do here but i’m in such an awe with this fantastic work!
Super Mario means a lot to me, of course so it does to a lot of people too,it’s my childhood, but to me it simbolizes how much i’ve changed since when i was 6 or 7, i’ve grown up so much, i’ve been through so many things, things i wouldn’t change a bit because it makes me who i am today, Mario was ‘by my side’ thourghout all these years…
so now he’s gonna be with me forever :)
Diogo Mesquita from Domus Art in Portugal was the artist, he also is so excited to finish my sleeve! On the 9th January he’ll try and finish my forearm. I’ll share it here if i can*
slkdvjdfk I would also cuddle the fuck out of this one!!
Yes, he does have that quality of ‘Oh! I just want to give you a big giant bear hug and snuggle!”
SO cute. It’s because really he’s just a fanboy like the rest of us……only I’m girl, so I’d be a fangirl. Whatevs. You know what I mean.
Dori, I’m looking at you.
I JUST….I CAN’T EVEN OH GOD!!! How did I NOT KNOW THAT THIS BLOG EXISTED?!?
TIE Fighter on my husband’s hand, part of his Star Wars sleeve.
Done by the amazing Ty McEwen (www.tymcewen.com).
Not much deep meaning to it he says. He’s just passionate about Star Wars, and always has been, despite how trendy it’s getting these days.
HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK! That’s incredible.
